PFP celebrates Sarah West, the namesake of our new 10-person dragon boat.

a tradition of giving

The Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Dragon Boat Team is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Membership dues cover most of our expenses, and we rely on donations from sponsors and friends to offset many costs involved with maintaining and running a premier dragon boat team. A great example is the 10-person boat, named for our beloved teammate Sarah West, which we purchased thanks to sponsors of our 2024 golf tournament.

When you donate to PFP/ATW, your support extends far beyond our team’s exploits on rivers around the globe. It supports a mission dedicated to empowering women, improving women’s health, and fitness, and supporting breast cancer survivors.

PFP is not just an athletic team. It is an organization contributing to the community. Off-season, we volunteer at the Share Food Program, Rubye’s Kids, and St. Mark’s Food Pantry. Our BCS crew Against the Wind (ATW) supports cancer charities, including Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Legacy of Hope.

In addition to being winners on the water, PFP/ATW members are accomplished committed women of the community. Our members make paddling a part of their lives while being active as business and medical professionals, teachers, entrepreneurs, lawyers, students, moms, volunteers, and retirees.

Thank you for considering PFP/ATW in your charitable giving.
